Comerica Biltmore Corporate Headquarters

Delivery Process: Tenant Improvement
Total Square Footage: 14,000 SF
Renovation of 14,000 SF existing office suite in a 96,000 SF 3-story building and IDF room. Work consisted of new walls, finishes, ceiling tile replacement, and MEP modifications. Minor exterior repairs to building. Repairs to signage and lighting, installation of window film, and millwork to cabinets in office cafe. Provided infrastructure for security data, sound masking, AV and wiring.

Cox Business Blackhawk Relocation

Delivery Process: Tenant Improvement
Total Square Footage: 52,300 SF
52,300 SF demolition and full tenant improvement of two buildings #3010 and #2902 for Cox call centers. Work consisted of cubicle farms, huddle rooms, 6 conference rooms, IDF and MDF rooms, ME rooms, break rooms, fitness center, and a main lobby.

IDF and MDF rooms were completed ahead of schedule for vendors to install server and data equipment.

Denver SES Replacement

Delivery Process: Design-Assist
This project took place in a 500,000 SF, 13-story telecommunications and data center building located in the midst of downtown Denver.

The scope of the project included Installation of a new 6000KVA Utility Power Service Entrance and a 4000KW generator back-up system to serve expanding building loads. Work also included: new power metering and construction of a new three-hour fire rated transformer vault and installation of three (3) 2000KVA transformers and associated power distribution switch-gear and 4000 amp busway risers.

Construction of a new ground floor emergency back-up generator room & control room and installation of two (2) 2000KW Caterpillar Diesel generators with automatic transfer switch & associated radiators & exhaust system extending to the 13th floor roof.

One of the challenges of working in this facility is the power and cooling must be kept operational at all times. No shutdowns are allowed. Caliente installed the new equipment and maintained the existing equipment. The cut-over to new equipment was managed via a Method of Procedure.

Xavier College Preparatory High School

Delivery Process: Design/Build
Total Square Footage: 5,300 SF
Renovation of an existing locker room including offices, restrooms, showers, concessions. This project required completely gutting the walls, ceilings, floors, & MEP of the existing locker room.

New structural provisions have been installed during this phase for phase 2 addition of the second floor including helical piers, concrete footers, & steel columns. New finishes include custom terrazzo flooring through-out the space, tile wainscoting in the restrooms & wet walls, full height cultured marble walls through-out the shower area. Ceiling are ACT rated for wet locations.

All new lockers installed on cast-in-place concrete benches. MEP includes all new HVAC system connected to the campus chilled water loop. Lighting in the space consists of 2×2 LED drop-in fixtures connected to the campus EMS system.

Arrowhead Women’s Center

Ironwood Hall

Delivery Process: Construction Manager at Risk
Total Square Footage: 62,948 SF
New construction, ground-up classroom and science building. Total area under roof is 62,948 SF. The project included 10 large general classrooms, 12 medium general classrooms, 42 faculty offices, 2 engineering labs, chemistry labs, 2 physics labs, 2 geology labs, tiered 78 seat lecture hall, 1 non-tiered lecture hall, and ceramic studio.

The building serves as a “signature” building for the Campus’s north entrance. The unique design with its various indoor-outdoor spaces, including several outdoor study areas, coffee bar and interior study nooks serves as an extension of the traditional classroom and creates opportunities for students to gather and collaborate in non-conventional, contemporary settings.

The building has won 8 awards: 2010 AZ Real Estate & Development Honorable Mention for Best Educational Project; 2010 ICF Builder Awards Winner: Heavy Commercial; 2008 AIA Western Mountain Region Unbuilt Merit Award; Gold Medal Building of America Award; Architecture Design Awards category for best use of Smooth Metal Wall Panels; 2010 Valley Forward Honorable Mention; AIA 2011 Western Mountain Region Conference Honor Award in the Built Category; AIA 2011 Western Mountain Region Conference Honor Award in the Built Category. This project also achieved LEED® Gold certification.
