Designed specifically for inter-professional collaboration, education and training of students in the nursing, EMT and paramedic programs, this new 4,500 SF building includes: a skills practice semi-clean lab, exam room, two simulation suites, control center and debriefing room, offices and an outside staging and training area.
This student funded project completed in January 2013. The project consisted of demolition and renovation of 27,000 SF of the Lower Level and Main Level of the existing occupied historic downtown Post Office for use as a “Student Engagement’ space. The new functions include a student lounge, a recreation room, and conference rooms for student organizations, mathematics, writing and learning labs.
This project consisted of adding a 6,000 SF second story to the existing facility providing classrooms, administrative space and a small kitchen. Work also included renovation of the existing first floor classrooms and administration space and addition of elevator and exterior staircase.
Ironwood Hall is the latest addition to the vibrant and diverse Chandler-Gilbert Community College campus. This 62,948 SF “under roof” building features state of the art laboratories for chemistry, physics, engineering and geology as well as 22 classrooms, 42 faculty offices, a tiered lecture hall, and an adjacent ceramics studio. Ironwood Hall is LEED Gold Certified and has won 9 industry awards.
Caliente recently completed 4 new construction educational facility projects for Legacy Traditional Schools in Queen Creek, Chandler, Tucson and Casa Grande. The projects totaled over 66,000 SF and were completed on fast track schedules starting in April 2012 and completing in time for classes to begin on August 8th.
